Fundamentals 1
Recommended for Dogs to work on Basics
The Fundamentals 1 class is designed to be fun for your fur baby! Teach your puppy to follow and move with the Lead instead of against it, Basic Skills (sit, wait, stay and begin Recall), Proper socialization and de-sensitization for sounds and surfaces & Place Training, training games, fear free vetting and Proper Handling Techniques. We will also address Grooming, Potty Training, Crate Training and other problem behaviors (Play Biting, Digging, Barking).
This class will meet once a week, 5 consecutive weeks for one hour.
Fundamentals 2
Recommended for Dogs to dive deeper into Basics
This class is designed to work on basic skills, manners, communication and problem solving in a low stress and fun environment. We will show you how to keep your dog's attention by teaching watch me and focus work, as well as consistency in sit, down, wait/stay, recall (come) and loose lead walking using specific techniques to encourage proper body positioning. We will teach the importance of targeting, place training, and impulse control skills, along with clicker training and markers (verbal and non-verbal) to aid in the training process. You will learn so much more than just the basics of obedience, as we delve into reading your dog's body language and learning about canine psychology and how your dog thinks. You will learn how to effectively communicate with your dog, and each owner/dog will be given individual instruction and advice, as we realize that no two dogs or owners are alike, nor do they learn in exactly the same way. The first class will be held without your dog present as there is so much information to cover about the things you will be learning.
Agility
Beginner to Advanced
This is a wonderful way to not only give your dog exercise but also give them a job to do. This training helps to reinforce not only the basics of your dog’s training, but also hand signals, focus, targeting, surface training and much more. Agility training also helps you stay in shape (lots of running involved in this) but reinforces the trust account and the bond between you and your best friend.
Rally
Improve your Dog's Obedience & Focus
AKC Rally® is all about teamwork. You and your dog navigate a course together, side-by-side, at your own pace. You move through a course with signs where he performs different exercises. The courses include various turns and commands such as sit, down,
stay, etc.
Exclusions: Dog's with Behavioral History or Aggression are not able to participate.
Scent Detection
Beginner to Advanced
Scent detection is not for every dog, a Free Assessment is required to determine eligibility.
This training is either held in a class or in a private training setting. Scent detection is a great way for you to spend time with your dog while engaging their mind and drive to work.
